Floods hit Drives

These are two hard drives out of a mirrored RAID 1 server. They are a Hitachi Deskstars (Death Stars as we call them in the industry) Model numbers HDS722516VLSA80.
Both drives were hit by the severe flooding in Derbyshire. The hard drives have been submerged in murky water for about 3 days. As you can tell I have found that the PCB (Print circuit board) has corrosion on numerous vital chips.
There are slight burn marks where there has been a power surge. The PCB is really damaged badly and will need replacement.
Upon examining the inside of the disk in our lab, there is a lot of moisture that has seeped through the sealed area of the disk. The platters are contaminated and the head assembly unit is damaged.
Furthermore, the read/write heads will have to be replaced as there is corrosion on them as well. We will have to remove the platters and clean them with a special solution.
The platters will have to dry for a period of 48 hours and will be transplanted back in a donor drive. The head assembly will be replaced and recalibrated.

Did you manage to sucessfully recover this data?
Unfortunately, on this occasion we were not able to retrieve any data from these disks. The physical media was to badly damaged by natural materials.
